In celebration of love (because Valentine’s Day should be every day) I was inspired to make these bittersweet coconut cacao rose love bites. I enjoy my cacao on the bitter side but feel free to sweeten it up a bit more with maple syrup.
All the cacao makes these love bites a perfect pick-me-up snack when you need a little kick.
Whether you want to share them or self-indulge is up to you..though it is lovely to feed them to another..
Rose petals and Cacao..need I say more?
May your love and taste buds expand in delight..
1/2 cup ground cacao nibs
1/4 unsweetened cacao powder
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 unsweetened shredded coconut and 1/4-1/2 cup set aside for rolling.
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp rose water
2 Tbsp coconut oil
3 Tbsp good quality maple syrup
1/2 crushed dried rose petals
Set aside a piece of parchment paper on a baking sheet or cutting board.
Measure all ingredients and combine in a bowl. Wet your hands to make rolling them easier. Use a Tbsp to to get a more even size.
Take each ball and roll into shredded coconut and crushed rose petals. Alternate or use both at once. Have fun with your love bites 😉
Makes about 12-13 love bites.
Happy and Healthy Cravings! 🙂
